For 20 years we have been providing electronic and mechanical technical support for machine tools.
Assistec has been providing electronic and mechanical support for CNC machine tools for several years.

This assistance service is supported by electronic and mechanical repairs on components and spare parts.The extensive and in-depth knowledge of machine tools that characterises our professional technicians has enabled us to set up a new business unit dedicated to the integration of machine tools and robots, and to the design and installation of robotic islands.

Assistec is a young and dynamic company and, although it has been on the market for just over 20 years, it has evolved and transformed itself by preserving the humility required to build a dream, innovation after innovation.

Assistec traces its history through the generational transition involving the entire La Placa family, committed to achieving one goal: to consolidate the company’s activities and to develop new ones, while listening to the customer's needs. 
Our staff is made up of highly qualified electronic and mechanical technicians with decades of experience and training. Through active collaboration and sharing of skills and expertise, our technicians always handle any fault that may occur on the machine tools in a knowledgeable and responsive manner.

Milestones

1998-2008

1998-2008

Assistec was founded in 1998 on the initiative of Antonio and with the collaboration of his wife Aurelia, with the aim of offering customers the experience and expertise acquired in the field of electronic assistance on machine tools. The business grew quickly in the first 10 years, and it was necessary to find more space. Thus, a new facility was purchased, which in addition to the offices, also contained a large spare parts warehouse. 

With the arrival of Dario, Antonio's son and an electronics expert, the electronic support service was consolidated and developed further, so much so that it became necessary to hire three new technicians. An important step in this first decade of activity was the creation of the first electronic and mechanical repair workshop for Fanuc products, which quickly became a leader in Italy for service companies as well as other companies in the sector.
 

2008-2018

To support the growth, in 2010 and 2013, Antonio’s other two children, Shaila and Lorenz, joined the organisation, taking charge of the administrative and commercial aspects of the company. During this decade, two major innovations were introduced at Assistec. The introduction of the mechanical support service, which together with the electronic support service, allowed the company to provide customers with an all-encompassing service, capable of solving all problems that may arise on machine tools. The second innovation was the introduction of Mitsubishi products, both for technical support on machine tools and for the repair and sale of spare parts such as drives, power supply units and motors

2019-...the journey continues

The second generation, now well-established in the company, is witnessing unprecedented global technological transformation and evolution. With full awareness of the road ahead and extensive knowledge of machine tools, in 2019 the company responded to the demands and pressures for innovation and transformation to Industry 4.0 by introducing a new business activity dedicated to the integration between machine tools and industrial robots. This new activity, in addition to consolidating the previous activities, required the design of a new headquarters, which is currently under construction.
